Our close-knit team has an insatiable hunger to solve lots of problems in a variety of areas. We are constantly working on new products to solve gaps that we see in the market and are always looking for others with the same passion. We usually build software products, but we also are building consumer goods and hardware as well. We’re not afraid to try something new and we encourage it on all of our projects.

In addition to our own products, we also work with global brands to help build net-new digital products using the same methodology we use for ourselves. We’ve built class-leading products with major brands across sports, automotive, healthcare, fitness, insurance, media, and games.

Our headquarters are in Irvine, CA but we also have a vibrant center of operations in Toronto, ON. We also have team members scattered throughout the world working with us remotely, so location is never a limiting factor when it comes to talent.

Unity Mobile Developer

Bethink Labs is a venture studio based in Orange County, CA. We are an award-winning team of designers, engineers, and product innovators. We like to play in the dark and aren’t afraid of the unknown, especially when it comes to building new products and businesses.

We are fascinated with how powerful Unity has become over the last few years and are especially intrigued with how we can combine this engine with advances in AI. We have a whiteboard full of ideas that we are building products against and are looking for an experienced Unity developer to help us bring our ideas to life on mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product team to develop product ideas and rapidly build technical POCs for testing
  • Implement system mechanics and processes using Unity, C# and/or C++
  • Help build and ship market-ready Unity-based products and games
  • Collaborate and communicate with other cross-functional departments including: product design, product management, marketing, etc.

Requirements

  • Strong programming with C# and or C++
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and a practical understanding of design patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.)
  • Experience with Unity game engine
  • Experience with asynchronous, multi-threaded, parallel programming paradigms and other techniques to maximize UI responsiveness
  • Experience with Unity Profiler and reading/debugging Android and iOS logs

Senior Software Engineer (Cloud)

Bethink Labs is a venture studio based in Orange County, CA. We are an award-winning team of designers, engineers, and product innovators. We like to play in the dark and aren’t afraid of the unknown, especially when it comes to building new products and businesses.

Everything we build is deployed to the cloud. Which cloud? Well, it really doesn’t matter because they all do the same thing, more or less. That being said, we tend to prefer AWS but are always looking at ways to utilize GCP and Azure in our products. If you’re a cloud engineer that’s just as excited about building out scalable cloud-native products as we are, then we’d like to talk.

Responsibilities

  • Architecting scalable and robust cloud-native applications
  • Utilizing the latest cloud services to keep our stack working at the cutting edge
  • Not only knowing how to scale, but when to scale our cloud services so we aren’t outpacing product growth
  • Working with operations team to optimize cloud services and reduce operating costs

Requirements

  • Professional experience in web application engineering, working in a team environment
  • Extensive hands-on experience with various cloud services, particularly AWS
  • You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval
  • Experience with more than one functional or imperative programming languages -- e.g., JavaScript, Python or Clojure
  • Bonus: Specialty certificates from AWS, GCP, or Azure

Machine Learning Engineer

It goes without saying that AI is changing, well, basically everything. We believe that ML is one of the more important tools that helps personalize and deliver exceptional products and are fully invested in utilizing it across a number of products. If you’re a builder of intelligent things and want to join a group of people constantly building new AI-enabled products across industries, then we should definitely get some time together.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product and engineering leads to build ML stacks for our various products
  • Build out ML models for things like: advanced object detection, speech recognition, voice generation, anomaly detection, and personalization/recommendations
  • Deploying and maintaining ML models for high-volume production software

Requirements

  • Background in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience with A/B testing / controlled experiments, and data/metric-driven product development.
  • Passion for working with data at scale and empowering organizations through data
  • Exceptional architecture abilities and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale application
